Relic Reef wasn’t built in a boardroom. It was built with dirt under the fingernails, salt in the air, and a lifelong obsession with the past hiding just beneath our feet.

Where It All Started

My love for fossils started when my wife and I would walk the family fill dirt pit finding teeth. Like a lot of people in Florida, I grew up around water, beaches, and back roads that hide stories most people walk right past. The first time you pull a fossilized shark tooth from the ground, something that hasn’t seen daylight in millions of years it flips a switch in your brain. You realize you’re not just holding a rock. You’re holding deep time.

That feeling never went away.

Relic Reef grew out of that obsession. What started as personal hunts and collections turned into a mission: make fossil hunting accessible, exciting, and meaningful for everyone, whether you’re a hardcore collector, a kid opening your first mystery bucket, or someone who just loves the idea of owning a real piece of Earth’s history.

Fossils are honest. They don’t lie, exaggerate, or pretend. They tell the story of evolution, extinction, and survival. Sharks swam these waters millions of years before us and they’ll likely be here long after.
